We thought that the experiment was flawed and was highly biased (against cats!). We thought that it just continued to feed the divide between ‘dog people and cat people’. Cats are loyal and loving in their own special ways, and as a household that fosters kittens we can tell you they all express themselves differently! They each have unique traits and personalities. How can you possibly expect an experiment designed for human children to work for cats? That is goofy. There are huge, obvious differences between the psychology of a human child and a cat. Ugh. Cats love us. They have unique ways of showing love and that is a beautiful thing.
